- The journey involves a 2.5-hour car ride each way on uneven roads with potholes and winding curves. Additionally, there’s a 25-30 minute boat ride to the island, which can be choppy and wet. While we believe the islands are well worth the travel, we want you to be aware of road and sea conditions, as they can vary.

Your San Blas Day tour commences early in the morning, where a friendly driver will meet you at your Panama City accommodation between 5:00am and 5:45am. You and up to five fellow travelers will embark on a safe journey to the Port of Carti, taking in the lush jungle highlands for 2.5 to 3 hours. Often, we encounter wildlife, including monkeys and sloths, along the way. We'll happily make stops to admire these beautiful creatures and capture photos. Your driver will also pause at a grocery store if you wish to purchase snacks, water, or fruit.
Upon arriving at the port, a 'lancha' boat awaits with your San Blas tour guide, ready to whisk you to your island paradise. The 30-minute boat ride might be a bit bumpy and could involve some ocean spray. However, our spacious boats are equipped with sun protection to enhance your comfort.
As you reach Isla Perro, a tropical palm-fringed paradise, you'll be greeted by calm, inviting waters in varying shades of blue and green. Dive in and play with the colorful fish while snorkeling near the sunken shipwreck reef close to the beach. You'll have ample time to relax under a palm tree's shade, explore the island, meet the amazing Kuna population, or bathe in the crystal-clear ocean, capturing picture-perfect moments with its iridescent turquoise waters. We provide complimentary snorkel equipment for you to admire the vibrant reef and the multitude of fish species around the wreck. Kayaks are also available for rent if you'd like to glide over the azure waters and capture postcard-worthy shots of the island.
Lunchtime brings a delectable, freshly prepared meal, with choices including fresh fish or chicken (vegetarian and alternative options are available upon request; lobsters must be pre-ordered).
Between 3:00 and 3:30pm, we bid farewell to this island paradise and return to the Port of Carti. Your driver will be ready to safely transport you back to Panama City, delivering you to your accommodation by 7pm.
